Casterra Ag, a leading global Israeli company for castor seed development and production and a wholly owned subsidiary of Evogene, is looking for an Agronomist to oversee and support the cultivation of Casterra's castor seeds globally.
The position requires both cultivation and agronomy skills.
Responsibilities:
• Planning, conducting, and supervising agronomic experiments in various geographic areas.
• Periodic visits to growth sites to monitor soil preparation, cultivation & harvesting.
• Instructing, training, and providing ongoing Argo-technical support to clients.
• Building and updating cultivation practices and growth protocols.
Requirements:
• A B.Sc. in Agronomy - a must.
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a field agronomist.
• Proven customer support experience (in Africa, an advantage).
• Fluent in English; additional languages would be an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• A willingness to travel at least 30% of the time.
• A proactive and results-oriented approach.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
