About Groundwork BioAg:
Groundwork BioAg is an innovative ag-tech startup dedicated to sustainable agriculture solutions through the development of mycorrhizal fungi inoculants. We aim to enhance crop productivity and soil health by leveraging the natural symbiosis between plants and fungi.
We are seeking a highly motivated Plant Physiologist to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will focus on understanding plant-fungi interactions.
Responsibilities:
• Conducting research to examine the relationship between plant physiology, mycorrhizae, crop and soil health.
• Stay current with scientific literature related to plant physiology, mycorrhizal biology, and sustainable agriculture practices.
• Plan and execute experiments according to the company’s goals, timelines and work plans.
• Analysis, presentation, and implementation of findings and results.
• Develop and maintain protocols and operational processes
• Carrying out fieldwork.
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Plant Physiology, Plant Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in plant-microbe interactions, especially mycorrhizal fungi.
• Knowledge of soil science, plant nutrition, and sustainable agriculture practices.
• Strong background in experimental design, data analysis, and presentation.
• Orientation in a scientific work environment and in professional literature.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Eager to learn new technologies and solve problems.
• High level of organizational and planning skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Hebrew).
• Excellent computer skills.
• Work is based in Moshav Mazor.
